-Remember these lessons on life... Because life is so much like a game, it's insane.

Here's the tutorial....

You don't have a save button, nor do you have any extra lives, so make this one life count very much.

You don't have a horde of enemies trying to kill you; don't be paranoid and think so. Most people who act mean and rude don't know the better parts of life. Be optimistic and try to make friends and not create foes. You are NOT strong for fighting and hating, nor is anyone else.

You're not going to level up in the classic sense. But you will gain experience, and with that, you will become a stronger individual. Just make sure to use said experiences to forward a positive lifestyle.

You have power-ups, sure: Love and friendship will make you a bright, endearing individual should you choose to preserve and strengthen them. Hate and prejudice make you weak and spiteful, in the end, so don't succumb.

Your strongest weapons are really in your soul, heart, and mind. You can easily kill another's soul, heart, or mind with simple words on an incredibly small scale, or injure them with just a gesture. Why would you? Allies and beloved friends will get you much farther.

Remember how to cast spells... Press others buttons metaphorically with affection, and don't be afraid to. There is a certain charm in truly close friendship no hex or mysticism could ever rival.

As life is not a game, your freedom is boundless. Use that very freedom to make more freedom for others, in the form of care and decency. When this freedom is spread, the fond endurance of friendship will flourish.

-You're playing life at the hardest difficulty at every point, but with practice and friends to support you, you're invincible to it's hardships. Have you ever taken the time to ask your friends about themselves? How could one guess that perhaps their best friend has a different sexual orientation? This is what some people must realize, and in their shoes, would you really care about their life-styles? One would appreciate the fact that their friends are normal people, and in truth, would stand up for their rights.

However, we have a problem: There are many people in the world, in the United States especially, that discriminate against those with separate sexual orientations out of a lack of understanding combined with false propaganda. Some religious abusers and certain groups take unnecessary action against Homosexuals and Bisexuals on a basis. Lately, for about a dozen years arguments have been heavy on whether marriage for these individuals should be legalized and a large percentage of Americans take a conservative stance and say no. I understand that many Americans are conservatives and they may feel uncomfortable making this change, but for the good of millions all around the U.S., they simply need to come out of their shells and stop hiding from the fact that ideals determine the ‘what’ in a person, not the ‘who’ in a person. For the common good of Americans, they need to learn not to waste time only to put others down, for that drags us downwards as a whole. (www.gallup.com)

The majority of arguments provided are religious-based... and even then, irrelevant or weak. Christian and Judaist religions have several arguable passages that say that any actions between same-sex couples is a crime against God and that doing so condemns them, but these are also argued to be invalid. Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13 are prime examples for Judaism. They say a man should never sleep with another man; but these were created to disclose Canaanites as sinners for their Pagan-like rituals, many years ago. They are argued to have no meaning today because in no way are same-sex actions seen as a Pagan ritual any more. The bible condemns Homosexual actions where they are mentioned at all, but never against thoughts. Even then, it is also argued that the implied meaning of the Bible and Christianity is love and caring and that the only reason Homosexuality is mentioned at all is because of certain Catholic authorities centuries ago who held enough power to put others down. The U.S. Constitution and its amendments tell us several things. They tell us that that every citizen is to be able to live their life with liberty and the pursuit of happiness. All men are created equal, and denying same-sex couples breaks that, by physically limiting what they are able to do. That would mean it would be unconstitutional to ban same-sex marriages, because they are humans, men and women, like any other; but with a different outlook. What is the United States but a free haven for all of those who think alike? We are told it is the land of the free and the home of the brave, yet just about half the Americans in the U.S. are against same-sex marriage based on fear and hate, not based on love and freedom. So, I ask you this: When you are asked to make the crucial decision of whether to vote for same-sex marriage rights, consider all of this. Contemplate upon what you actually know of Gays and Bisexuals and where what you know comes from. Be a true American and don’t listen to the handpicked contempt of those whose only justifications are their rights to speak their mind, for you have every right to decide for yourself what is right. Remember the Constitution and the Preamble, and remember the point of the U.S. in the first place. Look at who people are, and not what their life-styles are, for if that is what you do, you are going against the country with your mind.

long time since the last update. so ill try to fit all the things that have happend lately into here n__n

i thought the last day of school was going to majorly suck.

i never had attended the last day of school in the 3 years i've been attending uplands. so this was the first time and it rocked. i got my yearbook and got it sighned by everyone yay n___n

after that we all went to GURNEY and watched hancock. i thought it was allright. i don't think ill watch it again. the sad part was INTENSE though.

soon afterwards chin chieh and some others disapeared so i was left with nigel,jeemin, pringgo, jo and hai ying. we got invited to free dinner at soul garden or something. it tasted AMAZING. i love that place :D that was really nice.

i then followed nigel around for a while. we wanted to stay in gurney for the night but i decided it would b boring as there werent enaugh people so i took a taxi home.

My brithday is in 8 days :D

im planning to have a beach party. im alrady got my present witch was a laptop, but im getting a aircut too. i think im gonna go become a red-head soon. XD

The day started out with KungFu Panda... which was an ok movie... i would say its a "child's movie" or "family movie" . it only for 4/10 for me.. which is really low....
Then we went to The Cove... we started out playing basketball and games and stuff.... while waiting for kenzie and bor yeun getting charcoal.. took them 1 hour just to go get that... then after that... we swam.... So they gathered all the stuff like.. Charcoal,Kerosene,Sausages,Marshmallows and all other stuff... We started a bondfire!!!! see pictures below... They're taken from my I-phone... So.... we sang to pei en's guitar.... and I ordered Pizza for all of them... Cost me Rm50 though.. so.... The bondfire ended at 10pm... Reached home at 10.20.... Slept after getting Hot water with lemon and honey

We had loads of fun.. The night started with loads of people being late... Then...we started by watching Balls of fury.. The Pool Games started around 8.30p.m. Then... We played Water Polo.. It was loads of fun.. since there were lots of water balloons and balloons in the pool..(water balloons not shown in the picture above). We played in the pool for 1 and a 1/2 hours or so.. Then we went on playing cards.. ....Then...I didnt really get Alyssa a gift YET... But anyways..There were 2 piles of Kentucky chicken... 1 for original flavour and 1 for Hot And Spicy.. Then there were 2 Dominoes Pizza.. and Loads of Shandy.. and Diet Coke... Much fun.. Getting hit by a water balloon in the face hurts alot.. Now i have 2 marks on my nose... I was the only one wearing specs while swimming XD

machinima (definition:filmmaking within a real-time, 3D virtual environment, often using 3D video-game technologies).but there are some people who made it feels almost like a tv series.and i present to you DigitalPh33r.like the vid above , he created this series called deux ex machina.it's kinda like a suspense thriller.and i love it.he only uses halo3 as the environment , characters and a few other things.he made such an incredible thing by just using a normal video game.and the series is gonna end with one more episode still in production (it will be out around june).but he did all the directing , acting , editing and the voices all by himself (yea , it's kinda weird recording all those lines and sounds).i saw this while i was watching arby 'n' chief (also another machinima series by the same director , but it's a comedy series).he also has another series called " it's a wondeful live " which basically talks about his real life and meeting people and whatnot.i like it too.but there's only 3 episodes in it.another series was done using call of duty 4 (titled , retaliation) made entirely by a different guy , but i say it's okay.the best is to watch these vids from the first episode , then only you'll understand what's happening.if you haven't watch this kinda vids before , i think you should , especially when you're kinda bored while surfing the net.enjoy!

gamer's hideout is a video game shop that ONLY sells ORIGINAL games for the xbox360 , ps3 & psp , nintendo wii & ds.but their main focus is on the 3 game consoles (they're actually xbox360 premier specialist).i bought my 360 and 10 games (on june 3rd , it will be 11 already) from them.so tonight i'm kinda writing a post to support them.it started with 3 gamers (eddy , bobby and jason) all wanted to play original games.imagine that , 3 malaysian gamers who don't want pirated games , but original ones.i used to choose pirated games but they helped change my thinking.thanks guys ! if you had read every page of the star's tech section , then i'm sure you've heard of the shop before.because they had organize quite a few events in malaysia , trying to promote original gaming.they had " Halo 3 Mega Screen Experience " , GH LAN Party 07 " and recently " GH League Double It ".they're gonna have " GH LAN Party 08 " this coming may31.so if you're free that day , make sure you stop by to have a look.talking 'bout the shop , it's in cineleisure damansara , petaling jaya (here's the address and their number , look at your right).they're friendly , willing to help you with any game-related inquiries.they can send your games or consoles or accessories to you via courier service (skynet specifically).and most of their games are available on launch day.games on the 360 cost around rm160 - rm200 for new releases , old games will be below rm100.for the ps3 , most of their games are around rm200.sometimes they have this special midnight sale for AAA titles , like what they did with halo3 and gtaIV.they also have something called " Achievement Icon " which is only for 360 owners.if you had succeed in earning a very difficult achievement on a certain 360 game , you find them , show them your 360 gamer profile and you may just earn yourself a few bucks.there was this guy who did a forza motorsport 2 achievement (which is to collect all cars in the game) and he walked away with rm500.cool right ?

they also have this little thing called " Pre-Order Special " where if you pre-order a certain game (usually hit titles) , you could get keychains or tee's but usually it's only for the first 100 people.like the pic above , it's a metal gear solid 4 (mgs4 , in short) pre-order special (see the number 32 ? from their website , it says that if you pre-order mgs4 , you might stand a chance to win a 32" samsung lcd tv).see ? these guys are really nice people , they earn nothing since they're selling original games , yet they could give out prizes and organize events for us.so you really gotta give them a thumbs-up.and if you're a original gamer like me , you should start getting games from them.i usually talk to jason for games , 'cause he's the one who told me anything i wanna know about the 360 so now we kinda know each other.so yea , ask for him if you ever wanna buy games there.i won't get a commission nor you will get a discount if you mention my name (he doesn't know me by my name , instead it was something else)

gears of war 2 (one game i'm totally looking forward to).it will be out this november.everyone like the sequel's better graphics , destructible environments , soft body physics , better water effects , crowd feature (which means having a lot of character models appear on the screen).it has new weapons , enemies , locations , characters , bla bla bla.and it's xbox 360 exclusive.but what we all want most is four-player co-op.during the old times , there's only 2 player co-op in most video games.but halo 3(which is also a x360 exclusive) proved that wrong , by giving 4 people to play together.so now a lot of 360 owners are wondering whether gears of war 2 will do the same.and the only thing we could get was a simple " we don't know yet ".so stay tuned.

although this game is exclusive on the nintendo wii (which people consider it to be a family game console) , but it has a few scary (or gruesome) games.remember resident evil 4 wii edition ? okay.coming out in 2009 , this is a little game called madworld which has a unique black & white style with blood in red (kinda reminds me of sin city).but this is not suitable for you if you and your family plays i-like-everything-happy-and-cute games.it has a few gore scenes like ripping hearts out of opponents , chainsawing them (sounds familiar ?) etc etc.want my opinion ? i like the graphic style it's using , reminds me of okami on the ps2.well , sorta.anyway , it's my first post for the wii.do i get a reward or something ?

here.we have rock band 2 and guitar hero iv to choose from , and suddenly some japanese company (actually i know the name of the company , i just don't want to type it out , for copyright reasons ?) came up with something called rock revolution.according to the developers , this title will focus mainly on the drums (having six quieter drum pads and a pedal) but they'll still put in bass and guitar gameplay in it.but one thing different here is , there won't be any vocals for the game consoles (xbox360 , ps3 , wii) but it will be included in the handheld version (nintendo ds).don't you think it's a little weird ? anyway , hope you like it.i know i don't.do the japanese know anything about rock music ? NO!

guitar hero IV with band play was confirmed yesterday (or 2 days ago , if you like) , and today we have rock band 2.yup , people are hinting that rock band 2 is in development (i'm pretty sure it will come).a reader was surfing the net and one of the websites came up with a rock band survey for him , and you're really stupid if you think that it's not about rock band 2 (just take a look at one of the questions here).so now , it's either this or guitar hero IV for me.i like rock band for its focus on just-wanna-have-some-fun gaming but guitar hero franchise has a better soundtrack.then again most of gh songs are kinda hard to play (i'm not talking about easy or medium mode of course) but rock band is region locked so asian 360's can't play it.this is stupid.really really stupid.anyway , i'm still standing on the fence right now.

but if you make rock band 2 region free , cheaper , has a better soundtrack and i'll definitely support you , harmonix.it's your choice.

Midnight News.this is another feature that i came up with , besides GTA4's Insane Moments.this is something like kotaku where i will post news , articles 'bout video games almost every midnight or 11 something if my parents won't let me sleep late (hey , i'm only 16 , what can i do ?).anyway , i will start expanding to wider stuff.i won't just write about the xbox360 anymore.soon i will start on ps3 , pc , wii , psp and ds.so don't be surprised if you see quite a number of posts from me.so the premiere of Midnight News , i present to you guitar hero IV.it's about the rumor i wrote a couple of days ago and it's confirmed.

these are two snaps from a gaming mag Game Informer.the first one has a singer , drummer , bassist and a guitarist on its cover so we definitely know that it's be just like rock band now.while the second one is a pic of the drums.it looks a little like the drum set from rock band (3rd pic) , but it has 3 pads , a pedal and two cymbals whereas the rock band only has 4 pads and a pedal.enjoy !

i still remember one thing , i've been playing video games ever since i was a little child on the gameboy , dreamcast , psOne (and i was still one innocent kid).video games like pokemon , mario , final fantasy and whatever cute 2D games you could think of were once my favourite.and after watching this vid , it reminds me of all the good memories.good times , good times.now , back to carjacking and killing civilians and going to strip clubs.enjoy the vid , people.

The problem might have been that the paint i used was.. not black it seems (proof in video to be posted on my youtube soon.)

here's the thing.i'm one gamer who likes action and shooter games (most boys do while some are into role-playing games : rpg) , i was never into party games.but in january , i played rufert's guitar hero III on his ps3 and i just got hooked on it (should i say " thank you " here ?).so , i bought myself a copy of gh III too , for my xbox 360.anyway , now there's guitar hero IV and i think i'm getting it too.but this is not gonna have you using the same plastic faux guitar to play songs.nope , it isn't.from what i read in kotaku , this will be different.for those of you who are too lazy to click on the link , here's some new features that will be included in the upcoming title :

- create a song. but you can't make your own vocals.
- you'll be able to name your song as well as creating album artwork.then you can upload it to GH Tunes where anyone can download it.
- the song sharing mode will be in the wii and ps2 versions , it's unlikely that it'll be as robust as the PS3 and 360 versions.
- it will have drums, bass, vocals and of course , guitars
- create a rocker
- create a guitar and drums
- all songs will be master tracks
- they have confirmed tracks from 4 bands: van halen, the eagles, linkin park and sublime.
- a new guitar designed by Red Octane(due to the the gibson patent thingie , if you have read the game news) that includes a new input mechanic and it will " impact the way you play guitar hero in the future "

these are just rumors of course.but hopefully , they will confirm it.for me , just give me tracks from audioslave , slipknot , metallica , blink-182 (and maybe panic at the disco and other fueled by ramen artists ?) and more indie songs and my few hundred bucks will be yours , whoever-is-making-the-game.

Uplands Working experience.. [R]Perspective

Today at home... I MADE TACO's .... It tasted real good...
Ok...Uplands has this thing for Year 10's called working experience right.. They send us out to work and get the experience.. We wont get paid.. but its during school time.. So we get to skip school... 2 jobs caught my eyes.... 1 is E & O Hotel... Theres a range of jobs there.. From waiter-ing to Hotel Managing...to other stuff...
The second one is Kirishima Japanese Restaurant... I'm a frequent customer there... So i know quite a lot about the restaurant ....I made a good job application letter...And i think i'm gonna get the job....
So this is the letter i gave in...

Dear Mr. (employer name here),

I, Ong Chuin Chieh, am writing to apply for the position in Kirishima Japanese Restaurant located inside Cititel Hotel. As requested, I am enclosing a completed job application letter. The opportunity presented in this Year 10 working experience is very interesting. I believe that my strong communicating skills and interest in the Food and beverage sector will make me a very competitive candidate for this position.

Let me tell you more about myself. I have dark brown-blackish hair, brown eyes, and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. The skills that I possess for success in this position include:

I have been commented on my experience in cooking to be “not bad for a 15 year old”
I can speak in several languages (English, Mandarin, Malay) fluently which I know it will aid me in serving the customers in this position. I also understand Hokkien, the local dialect, and am in the process of perfecting the fluency of this language.
I strive for continued excellence.
I believe I provide exceptional contributions to customer service for all customers.

Other than those of above, I am a frequent customer to this restaurant. This means that I am familiar with the waiters and waitresses that work there. I also know about the limitation of their efficiency in serving the customers in time due to their ever-flowing customers. So, I chose this job among all the other jobs because I know I can improve the service of this restaurant, apart from the other reasons I stated above.

I have a full understanding to how a restaurant runs as my mom has a restaurant of her own serving Taiwanese Cuisine.

I also am interested in learning and progressing at new skills if needed.

just a normal day

wearing a simple tee with a brown jacket and black pants , i watched tv for awhile.it's boring , i turned it off , went out of my apartment.busy roads.it's 11.28am , i called roman to have lunch with me at burger shot.maybe we'll hang out in a strip club after that ? he agreed , asking me to pick him up in an hour.so i stole a black sedan and began driving.then a car knocked me and it was pretty.the guy who hit me ? he came out , i didn't want to hurt him , but he pulled me out.so i took out my gun and his hands were up already.i didn't hesitate , i do him in with a few shots into the skull.everyone around me were running away now.and coincidentally (or not...) , cops were just a few cars behind me so i had to outrun them.i jumped back into my car and i sped off.i pulled over to hide behind the bonnet and i started shooting them.i killed 2 but i got hurt too , so i drove away again.with sirens blaring , cops asking me to stop the car (not in a polite way of course) , people running away (did i mention how busy the traffic was ?) , i took out my cellphone and called roman just to let him know that i wanna cancel our appointment.we ended up at francis international airport.i didn't know that driving on the runway could earn you a four-star wanted levels (with police helicopters on top of me too).just like that , i dived my car into the ocean.while i was swimming to the shore , cops shot me down.everything turned grey and slow-mo.i died.in the oceans.

that's grand theft auto iv (it's a sandbox-style video game , for those who don't know).everything that i wrote was real (virtually real to be exact).more " GTA4's Insane Moments " will be posted.
